I have a special place in my heart for clients who:
Buy less, buy local and buy organic when they can
Are committed to undoing oppression in themselves and the world
Know that regardless of one's day job (or lack thereof), healing politics and radical religion can show up everywhere. We can be activists and healers as teachers, therapists, hairdressers, tattoo artists, lawyers, sex workers and anything else under the sun.
Realize that gender is way more interesting than a boring binary
Love to stretch, eat, drink and be merry, all while remembering to breathe deeply
Have a penchant for adventure and travel (even if that's just exploring a roof or hill top and all our vast inner space)
My commitment to helping creative, spiritual change makers create sustainable visions for the future along with maps to getting there comes from lived experience. I’ve always been passionate about environmental justice though when I started doing it professionally, I quickly burnt out courtesy of the nonprofit industrial complex. So began my spiritual journey to figure out who I was if I wasn’t the kind of activist my teenage self imagined I’d always be. I broke my workaholic habits (or more rightly, they broke me). Cracked wide open, I tried everything and found the answers to my own self care in astrology, dreaming, tarot, art and strategies inspired by shamanism (with every effort made to name and critique cultural appropriation as it comes up and oh does it ever). Now I do my best to make sure that the folks who are doing the crucial work of envisioning and creating a more just and beautiful world, can do it in a way that doesn’t break us. It's the systems that are broken.
I live cooperatively in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal after fifteen years calling the Ohlone land of San Francisco home. I travel extensively to explore, share, connect and teach. The work I do is deeply rooted in healing play, pragmatic mysticism and everyday sacred serendipity. I’m a massage junkie and stretch as constantly as I remember because it's mostly fun to have a body. I love good food and good enough friends. I doodle whenever possible and read voraciously. I'm pursuing an MA in Social Justice Studies with a focus on the radical imagination through the lens of games and rituals as tools for creating the best possible next worlds.
I was born on Halloween, the day traditionally thought to be when the veil between the worlds is thinnest. I was raised by witches (women, men, and more creatively gendered folks who practice eclectic earth-based spirituality founded on creativity, ancient wisdom, common sense and the power of intuition). As a result, my work is rooted in a vast and deep ancestral lineage (as is everything we do, if only we take note). I was given my first tarot deck when I was 11 and have studied astrology since around that time though some of my earliest memories are of begin in ritual and spiritual study with my family and communities. I have been doing this work professionally since 2007. I seek to bring practical and intuitive knowing together in service to the highest good of all. A deep bow of gratitude to all the well ancestors, spirits, allies, angels, beloved ones and teachers who have led me down this path and to all those who have led you here.
