Lammas sacred park sitting, August 3rd, 4pm, Dolores Park
Just wanted to let you know that this Saturday, August 3rd at 4pm in Dolores park, I'm hoping to do some low key sacred park sitting with some rad witches, healers, activists, artists and friends (that's you). I'll bring some bubbles, blankets, hoops, tarot cards, all the astro-wisdom my brain can contain, plus endless silly jokes and snacks. I hope you'll join me for some restorative recharging and recovery.
The timing is intended to honor and celebrate the cross quarter holy day known as Lammas/Lughnasad. I grew up with it as a festival of games, celebrating the bounty of summer's harvest with extensive frolicking, so let's play. Bring anything you'd like to share or just your radiant self. Everyone is welcome. Please RSVP so I know to be looking out for you.
I keep seeing us nearer to the 20th and Dolores corner of the park where the palm trees circle, just down from the playground. I imagine we'll hang out for a couple hours, then may go grab some dinner and hopefully will return at 8pm for the Movie Night showing of the Princess Bride.
I'm also thrilled to be doing a Spiritual Justice Series this fall, continuing the blessed work of weaving my two favorite threads of life (justice and spirit) together. I hope you'll join me and/or share it with folks who might enjoy it.
Queer Astrology Conference!
I am working with a team on a Queer Astrology Conference in San Francisco, CA, July 20 and 21, hosted at CIIS (a local university) and co-sponsored by SF Astrological Society. Please give as generously as you can to our fundraising efforts.
Queering Mercury, June 13th, 7:30pm, CIIS, 1453 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA, room 303
In an effort to push the intersecting paths of queerness and astrology into greater, more public conversation, we're continuing the queering series with an exploration of Mercury. Mercury is arguably already queer and yet the way we talk about this cosmic influence can be painfully binary. We'll explore the dualities, intersections and places of integration and liberation this energy brings to our lives. This will be an interactive, experiential exploration of Mercury as we know it, Mercury as we queerify it and Mercury as we live it. Folks are encouraged to bring their charts. It would be helpful to know where Mercury is in your chart, but we'll have the capabilities to find out in the workshop. Sponsored by Coniunctio (CIIS astrology club) and is free to the public.

May 1st, 7:30pm, Beltaine & International Labor Day celebration and Ask an Astrologer tea party
Let's celebrate that spring has officially sprung. I've always been particularly tickled that International Workers Rights Day and Beltaine, pagan holiday of fertility and fecundity, fall on the same day (May 1st). Let's bring our spiritual and political selves together and see what happens when we put that kind of magic into the cauldron. We'll talk astrological weather, meanings of Beltaine, tarot card play and co-creative sharing. I had such fun at a recent tea party just replying to folks questions about astrology, tarot, dreamworking, etc. that I figured that it might be fun to re-create that. Bring your own healing mojo to share!
Location will be sent upon RSVP to stella at stellathegoodwitch.com. It's near 24th and Folsom.
Free Readings at Sunday Streets
Join me on August 5th, 2012 for the Sunday Streets in my neighborhood. I'll be set up somewhere fun on 24th Street between Folsom and South Van Ness. It would be lovely to see some familiar faces as we bring radical religion to the streets.
